Warhammer 40,000 (40K) is a tabletop miniatures wargame set in a grimdark far-future 41st millennium. Two or more players bring their painted armies to a table and fight for objectives using dice, rulers and rules.
玩一場遊戲通常需要:一套自己塗裝 (或未塗裝也可以) 的軍隊、一份這支軍隊的 軍表 (Army List)、一些 D6 骰子、捲尺、以及一張標準尺寸 (60"×44") 的戰場。整場戰鬥大多是 5 個回合,由任務目標分數決定勝負——直接把對手打死並不一定會贏!
A game needs: a painted (or unpainted) army, a written Army List, a pile of D6 dice, a measuring tape, and a 60"×44" playing area. Games last 5 battle rounds and are usually won on mission objectives, not simply by tabling your opponent.

The galaxy is ruled by the Imperium of Man, a theocratic dictatorship held together by the half-dead God-Emperor on his Golden Throne. The Imperium is besieged on all fronts: by Chaos traitors from the Warp, by alien Xenos races, and by heresy within.

一個回合怎麼玩How a Turn Works
第十版每位玩家的回合依序有五個階段,結束後換對手:
On your turn you go through five phases in order, then your opponent does the same:

獲得 CP、觸發開始階段能力

移動Movement
移動單位、遠程預備、深空奇襲

看懂單位資料卡Reading a Datasheet
每個單位有六個核心屬性,記住它們等於看懂了 80% 的規則:
Every unit has six core stats. Learn these and you can read any datasheet:
- M — 移動Move — 移動階段可移動的英吋數,例如 6"。How far it moves in inches each turn, e.g. 6".
- T — 韌度Toughness — 被打傷的困難度,與攻擊方 S 比較決定打傷值。How hard it is to wound; compared to the attacker's Strength.
- Sv — 甲救Save — D6 ≥ 多少才能扣除傷害;AP 會讓這個門檻變差。Roll D6 ≥ this after being wounded. AP makes it worse.
- W — 傷害值Wounds — 累積到這個數量就陣亡。Damage capacity — drops at 0.
- Ld — 領導Leadership — 士氣與任務檢定用。Used for morale and Battle-shock tests.
- OC — 控場值Objective Control — 搶佔任務目標點時計分。How much it contributes when holding an objective.

挑選你的第一支軍隊Picking Your First Army
先問自己四個問題:
Start by asking yourself four questions:
- 你喜歡什麼畫風?What aesthetic grabs you? 先看喜歡不喜歡模型外觀,不喜歡就不會想塗。If you don't love the models, you won't enjoy painting them.
- 你想要精銳、海戰術還是中間?Do you want few elite models, lots of cheap ones, or balanced? 灰騎士 / 世界吞噬者屬精銳;帝國衛隊 / 獸人屬海戰術;極限戰士屬中庸。Grey Knights / World Eaters = elite; Guard / Orks = horde; Ultramarines = balanced.
- 想近戰、射擊或混合?Melee, shooting or mixed? 鈦星人是純射擊,世界吞噬者是純近戰。T'au are shooting specialists; World Eaters are melee fanatics.

- 從戰鬥巡邏 開始:Start with Combat Patrol: 官方設計的入門小規模模式,約 500 點、每支軍隊約 15 個模型,1 小時內可打完。The official intro format — ~500 pts, ~15 models per side, finishes in under an hour.
- 只看你這場會用到的規則:Only learn what you'll use today: 整本規則書很厚,但你第一場只需要「回合階段 + 攻擊流程 + 你自己這支軍隊的單位卡」。Don't read the whole rulebook — just the turn phases, attack sequence, and your own datasheets.
