22 factions, hundreds of units — but they sort into just 8 tactical roles. Once you can read a unit and immediately identify its job, list-building, deployment and target-priority all become clearer.

The backbone of every list. Mediocre stats, OC 2 (double Objective Control), cheap enough to spam 3–5 squads. Their job isn\'t killing — it\'s locking down objectives. 80% of 10e Primary score comes from them.

Built to never die. High Wounds, 2+ save, 4++ Invuln, maybe Feel No Pain. Damage is average but they absorb an entire turn of shooting without breaking. Often Attached to a Character for extra resilience.

Visually and mechanically colossal. Both shoots and fights in melee — typically your army\'s visual and tactical centrepiece. Unlike Vehicles, the MONSTER keyword lets them still shoot while Engaged (but only the unit they\'re engaged with).
